Bend but Don’t Break
As I am writing this, I am looking at protesters in carrying rifles and holding signs that say, “free us and “liberate us”. I get that people are frustrated, tired of staying home and fearful but this is not the time to fall apart and to break. Psalm 92:12 says, “The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
Palm trees bend under pressure (in storms, hurricanes, etc.) but they bounce back. They are resilient. They can take the best punches mother nature can throw at them and they remain standing. In life, we are going to have hard times, valleys, trials and storms. It’s inevitable. If you are a living breathing human being then there will be challenges and hardships. In those times be the palm tree. Be flexible. Have the ability to take a licking and keep on ticking. No matter how hard the winds are blowing in the storm once it passes the palm tree returns to its original position. Standing tall basically telling mother nature “Is that all you got? You cannot break me!”
When life throws challenges at you no matter what they are do not let them break you. You may have to bend but inevitably your goal should be to shake it off and stand back up. That is how we make it through Covid-19, it is also how we make it through life. Be strong and know that the best is yet to come. This is only a season and no season lasts forever. Do not be anxious. This is not the time to fear. This is the time to pray and to hold on to your faith. Trust God and know that He is still in Control of the entire universe.
Until next time, Be A Light
